The
predictive maintenance is based
on the fact that most of the elements that compose a machine will
give some warning before they fail. To be able to perceive these
warnings, non destructive test are used as: Infrared Thermography,
Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis and others.
The use of these techniques will allow to
know the condition of the machine giving a more efficient and
more effective maintenance as a result, in comparison with the
corrective and preventive maintenances.
Among the advantages of using the predictive
maintenance, we can mention:
| 1. |
Increase in
the utilities of the company product of an increase in the
availability of their machineries. |
| 2. |
Reduction of costs product
of the decrease in spare parts and manpower. |
| 3. |
Verification of repairs
carried out previously. |
| 4. |
Reduction of the probabilities
of a catastrophic failure increasing the security for the
personnel of the plant. |
| 5. |
Insurance of the correct
installation of a new machinery before putting it in service. |
