Vibration
analysisis the study of the movement
of sway of a machinery or structure, in any direction of the space,
from its balance position. This study consists on two stages: acquisition
of data and interpretation of the data obtained starting from the
measurement of the vibrations. The end of this technique is to be
able to determine the mechanical conditions of the object to study
and to detect specific or functional possible shortcomings. To obtain
this data an vibrations analyzer it is used, which transforms electric
signals coming from a transducer (usually an accelerometer) into
graphic images for their later analysis.
